Advance Payroll Services specialises in payroll processing servicing clients across Australia and looking to recruit a full-time payroll officer to join our team.

We are a small team, co-located with an accounting firm in a large spacious office in North Parramatta with city views. There is plenty of on-street parking. We have team-building events every quarter, Christmas Party, EOFY Party. We encourage diversity and inclusivity.

Responsibilities of a junior payroll admin officer include:

• End-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients using our in-house payroll system;
• Receiving and entering source data, generating and reviewing pay runs, lodgement of STP and superannuation, managing payments using Commbiz;
• Answering client queries and resolving payroll-related requests;
• Timely response to client requests via Freshdesk and telephone;
• This role does not require any direct liaison with clients’ employees. We also do not provide payroll-related advice as we specialise only in payroll processing.

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Completion of a payroll-related course
• Knowledge in wages, superannuation, PAYG Withholding, STP, leave accruals, payslips
• Enthusiastic and keen attitude to self-study and quickly learning payroll processing
• Excellent communication skills, written and on-the-phone
• Techniques to ensure attention-to-detail, and to keep highly-organised
• Fast typing speed, proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Enjoy working on computers. Would easily suit a gamer or data-entry experience.
