Training & Personal Development at Accenture Australia and New Zealand

7.7
7.7 rating for Training, based on 47 reviews
Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
The formal training immediately after the starting was more generic and aimed at giving some important information about how the company runs and what to expect on projects. This is good as a little bit of knowledge, but may not be the most useful once on a project where I believe the bulk of learning happens and the most mentoring can happen as well. This is where having good mentors is very helpful. I personally have gained a lot of knowledge on how companies function in agile settings and how CICD pipelines work in a best practices environment. I have also learnt a lot about how to code and prepare work for review within a sprint-based framework. I have also benefited from getting the opportunity to present work to the client and developing these skills as well. There are also opportunities to get certifications in cloud and other service providers that are done online and can be quite valuable.

I really enjoyed attending the Technical Analyst Experience when I started and learnt so many skills about being an analyst and the different stages of a project on this boot camp.

Technology bootcamp was a lot of information in a short time frame

Plenty of opportunity to do training, just have to ask and have a business reason for it

Most trainings are online modules.

The training includes toing all the Technology Quotient's and Ethics and Compliances. I learned a lot from these, mainly Security, blockchain and the metaverse.

Lot of training and development opportunities, pretty much if an ecosystem partner (e.g. AWS, Microsoft) has a training course, Accenture people can go do the training for free. I have picked up a lot of cloud-related training from AWS and Accenture pays for the learning and the exam. Accenture also has analyst conferences at locations across Australia, where grads were taken to a place (often a hotel or resort) and do training for 3 days, so we can better understand the company and how it operates.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Nov 2022
Accenture has provided me with access to accredited training in cloud services as well as skill development in programming languages.
Graduate, Perth, Australia - 09 Nov 2022
I feel unprepared for my work and am often unsure what to do.
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Nov 2022
They give you all the tools for training when you start and then when you are on a project. I have completed my cloud certification and whilst completing that, at the end of every day we were able to have a conversation with a senior developer which allowed us to ask questions.

I have gone through the technology bootcamp. I believe I was able to advance my abilities to work in a team as we worked on certain projects. I also learnt some cyber security skills as well as immersed myself into the technology by learning TQ topics. I believe I am more confident now to talk about recent trends and technologies with the clients and colleagues.

The formal training upon commencement is a bit shorter than expected - there could probably be a 2 week program of foundational skills and expectations. However the ongoing self-paced learning opportunities are vast.
Graduate, Sydney - 08 Nov 2022
The company has great internal and external training, you just need to be able to find it. In saying this, if you do not know where to look you may get lost in the training site.
Graduate, Canberra - 08 Nov 2022
Good orientation week and engaging first week in the office. Enjoyed the consulting analyst program too where our skills were really tested and grew.
Graduate, Perth - 08 Nov 2022
A three day orientation & an 8 day technology analyst bootcamp

it was okay at the start but since then they have changed around the different training locations and made it harder. on the job training i have found to be very good.
Graduate, Canberra - 08 Nov 2022
Encouraged to obtain Professional Google certifications - all training and exams are company funded. Online learning resources are vast and accessible.
Graduate, Adelaide - 08 Nov 2022
Training is intuitive with lots of courses for people to explore when they are not on a project.
Graduate, Melbourne - 08 Nov 2022
The training has been super accessible and really interesting. I enjoy learning online at my own pace
Graduate, Canberra - 08 Nov 2022
A lot of training for graduates and continued training is a focus for everyone at the company. They have lots of platforms and tools for continuous training opportunities and 2frequently recommend people take time to upskill.
