We have an exciting opportunity for a professional and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our Diagnostics Customer Support Team for a period of 12 months based in Macquarie Park.

  • In this customer-centric role, you will be responsible for completing day-to-day supply chain tasks including: 
  • Processing customer orders for domestic and international customers
  • Informing customers about order status, backorders, unexpected delays, part shipments and product issues
  • Handling inbound product enquiries, quotes, product returns and managing complaints
  • Analysing and resolving escalated customer issues
  • Liaising with transport companies including domestic couriers and freight forwarders
  • Maintaining customer pricing and standing orders
  • Data entry, credit and invoice management
  • Assisting the Sales and Marketing teams with stock management, customer order enquiries and maintaining the customer database
  • Providing outstanding assistance and advice to external and internal customers
  • Building strong relationships between the distribution site and other areas of Abbott, suppliers and customers

In order to be successful in this role, you would need to be someone who loves going the extra mile to deliver the highest standards for your customer. You love interacting with people and are good at problem-solving. 

To set you apart from other candidates you will be able to demonstrate: 

  • A high degree of independence and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in using SAP
  • Attention to detail when dealing with complex customer orders
  • Experience with conflict resolution
  • Competency in business software e.g. MRP systems, CRM systems and MS Office
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Experience with QAD (Mfg-Pro) is highly desirable
  • Exposure to international markets including the pacific islands will be adventitious

Due to the inherent requirements of the role, the preferred candidate must provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination before the commencement date and maintain a fully vaccinated status for the period of employment.
